BKS Air Transport was founded in 1952 and changed its name into Northeast on November 1, 1970. Northeast became part of the British Airways in 1973 and was fully amalgamated in 1976. In fact the last flight as a standalone airline occurred on March 31 , 1976.
BKS were the founders' initials : James Barnby, T D 'Mike' Keegan] and Cyril Stevens
1966 saw the introduction of a new livery, an In-flight
magazine and a new route to San Sebastian with a return to Bordeaux (this
service is not reflected in this timetable). The company carried 480,145
passengers and will be the penultimate year that saw Airspeed ambassador passenger
services as the type will be retired on October 31, 1970
