SARATOV AIRLINES

Saratov Airlines is a russian eregional carrier. It roots go back to 1931 when it was known as Saratov United Air Squad and was part of Aeroflot until the break-up of the USSR .
The Airline is based in Saratov. Saratov is an important cultural, trade , industrial and university centre located on the Volga river and the inhabitants are around 850,000 souls.

The airline was known as SARAVIA until 2013 and operates a fleet of Antonov 148 fitted with 83 seats
and Embraer 195 fitted with 118 all economy seats

but its network increases dramatically during the summer months with the operations of charter flights (40487 km length of network for seasonal flights.
Unfortunately, the company was banned by Rosaviatsa (the Russian equivalent of the FAA/CAA) from operating international flights in 2015 for violation of rules concerning the presence of non-related flight crew in the cockpit during operations
