APRIL 1, 1955-APRIL 1, 2025 70 YEARS OF LUFHANSA
LUTHANSA was founded 72 years ago (1953) in Cologne , Germany over the ashes former Deustche Lufthansa , which was liquidated in 1951 due to its association with the Nazi regime. At the moment of its foundation, the country did not have sovereignty over is air space. Nevertheless, it did not prevent the company to order 4 Convair 340 for its domestic and European network and 4 Lockheed L-1049G Super Constellation for its intercontinental network.
The convairs were delivered :

First flights were LH102 and LH102. D-ACEF a convair-340-068 operated the first postwar flight.
The routes were
LH 102 & LH 104 : HAMBURG-DUSSELDORF-FRANKFURT-MUNICH
and
LH 100 /LH 101: HAMBURG-COLOGNE-FRANKFURT-MUNICH
operated by 44-seat Convair 340
