Utopia Airport is proud to open a new terminal after the name of French explorer Commodore Jean François de Galaup, comte de Lapérouse. It is the home of Airlines located in Oceania, Australia and New Zealand.

 

Today , it welcomes its first jet Fiji Airways a Boeing 737 - 800 Max of Fiji Airways .It's registration is  DQ-FAB  a  HERPA 1 / 500 model.

 

The airline has five 737-800Max  in its fleet and then they serve Destinations in Australia,  New Zealand and the Pacific.

DQ-FAG "Island of Ovalau."

Its maiden flight occurred on November 28th 2018 and  was  delivered t to e the airline between November 30 and December 2 2018  through Boeing  field, Honolulu and Nandi.

Each aircraft has a capacity of 8 business class seats and 162 tourist class seats.

Following the crash of ET302,  the airliner was stored  in Alice Springs.  It returned  to service on December 2 2021, on the scheduled route Nandi- Brisbane

 Island of Kadavu

Kadavu with an area of 411 square kilometres (159 sq mi), is the fourth largest island in Fiji, and the largest island in the Kadavu Group, a volcanic archipelago consisting of Kadavu, Ono, Galoa and a number of smaller islands in the Great Astrolabe Reef. Its main administrative centre is Vunisea, which has an airport (code KDV) a high school, a hospital, and a government station. Suva, Fiji's capital, lies 88 kilometres (55 miles) to the north of Kadavu. The population of the island province was 10,167 at the most recent census in 2007.Kadavu is characterized by its rugged and mountainous terrain
