ROYAL AIR MAROC B707 OPERATIONS IN THE 70s
The seventies were a golden era for African Airlines , econmic gowth, independence, increased tourism movement and the availability of second hand aircraft were forces that helped those companies to expand.
Royal Air Maroc leased a Boeing from Transavia as early as 1972 to fill a gap until the delivery of the newly ordered B727-200. However, the company will embark in a vast program of expansion and needed the B707 . The table below gives information on the various B707 used by RAM. The aircraft will be used to launch at first transatlantic services and then Middle East services . The aircraft were used also to fill shortage of demand, charters, and lucrative hadj flights
The winter 1977/78 timetable gives us a good perspective on the Boeing 707 operations of Royal Air Maroc

AIR ALGERIE B707 OPERATIONS IN THE 70s
Air Algerie was very happy with its fleet of newly acquired B737-200 and B727-200 , the occasional use of the Boeing 707 during the decade was to provide for charter operations, lucrative hadj fights and occasionally to fill the gap between offer and demand during the summer months when the Algerian diaspora would leave France to visit the home country
